This project is essentially crowd sourced tracking flashcards. All cards are generated from observations in the iNaturalist North American Animal Tracking Database. All observations used to generate cards have "research grade" identifications (meaning a critical mass of identifiers have aggreed on an identification) assuring for some degree of recognizability. As of the time of this writing there are about 27500 observations with research grade identifications. Clicking Show Answer will reveal iNaturalist's identification of the tracks. I can't guarantee that 100% of these will be right.
By default Next runs through the cards from newest to oldest. Some cards will have more than one image associated with them. These can be navigated using the arrows. Clicking on an image will enlarge it. When the Shuffle Cards button is clicked the cards are reordered randomly. Filtering for species can be done with the Filter button. Filtered cards are automatically shuffled. I've only included filters for the most common species.
